Munster Schools

Last week saw our players represent Our Lady's Secondary School in the Tipperary Schools Championships.

Unfortunately the U-16 team were just pipped by Roscrea to make the munster finals (which they eventually went on to win) but both the other teams, U-14 & U-19 won their respective county titles to qualify for the Munster Finals in University Limerick.

At the Munster Finals both teams did themselves proud in finishing 3rd from the high quality 6 team championships.

Well done to all and lets hope the keep improving with the help of the club coaches.

Another Munster Title For Club

Sunday 22nd Jan saw a unique event for the club when two of its players won through their respectives matches to face each other in the Munster Graduate Singles Championships.

Having played together to win the Doubles title two seasons ago Robert Ingram faced Kieran O Brien in an eagerly anticipated singles final.

A closely fought first set saw Ingram win it and needed just one more set for the title.
Win that he did and made sure he could claim the bragging rates of his clubmate.

Two weeks time sees both play again in the Munster Junior Championships, what are the chances of both making the final again.

County Doubles Championships 2011/'12

Last Sunday Jan 29th saw the County Doubles Championships take place in Colaiste Poball, Roscrea with pairings hoping to fight for their chance to contest the finals the following Friday, 3rd Feb, in Gurteen
